The Cameleon Group employs 150 people and has a turnover of over 40 million Euros. In 2009, more than 1.8 million items found buyers.
Snapstore by Cameleon organizes private sales events on Internet that last between 2 and 5 days for men's, women's and children's prêt-à-porter, decoration and household items. Once upon a time there was a Cameleon...
Jean-Cedric Van der Belen, founder of Cameleon, started private sales at the age of 18 when he was still a student. Very quickly, his intuition and friendships in the fashion world transformed his hobby into a real Brussels institution.
Today, Cameleon has 3 private sales stores: Woluwe, Ixelles and Genval.
These sales are private for they are accessible only to members. Membership is obtained through sponsorship by an existing member. There you will find men's, women's, and children's prêt-à-porter styles, as well as decoration and household items at prices up to 70% off high street prices.
In 2009, Cameleon relocated and set up a brand-new store in Woluwe: 8,000 m2 of public open area built entirely with to the use of recyclable materials, certified local lumber, green roofing, natural ventilation, and optimum insulation. The store is energy self-sufficient thanks to photovoltaic panels and the installation of a windmill. Beehives have settled on the green roof in cooperation with Brussels beekeepers. Honey is harvested twice a year, and it tastes incredible!
Having built the first eco-friendly commercial building in Europe, which considerably decreases its environmental footprint, Cameleon went another step further with the DO SOMETHING project.
DO SOMETHING is a new way of perceiving our relationship with the environment.
Whatever the item, we endeavour to work with environmentally friendly and recyclable materials, and carefully select our partners based on their commitment.
DO SOMETHING also supports associations which pursue social or environmental objectives, as it is with the active support of Brussels beekeepers and the Graine de Vie association which replants trees in Madagascar.
